Mark Hochberg of NYU Tisch got his start in dancing as a child. He has always been fond of music, and with that fondness came a love of dance. He had actively taken dance lessons and participated in dance-related extracurricular activities throughout his schooling. As his expertise grew, so did his focus on contemporary dance, which he eventually made his focus upon admission into Tisch’s Department of Dance.
He broadened his horizons by also taking up some modern dance and hip hop, which aided him greatly in his choreography experience with formal and informal dance troupes. He has had the privilege of several dance opportunities onstage and during events, both large and small.
Mark Hochberg, in NYU Tisch to this day, continues his studies and aids other aspiring students in becoming a part of one of America’s most prestigious dance programs. He provides sound advice as well as resources in how to get into Tisch. He also volunteers in several local youth centers to bring the love of dance to the next generation, giving impoverished children a chance to experience the life-changing joys of dancing. He spends his free time coming up with new, innovative, and fresh choreographies to the latest tunes, spending time with his friends, and playing at Central Park with his dogs Jazzy and Oreo.
